My Photo Journal

New Year’s Eve 2004. I had just moved to Florida and my wonderful mom, Kim came down to spend the holidays with me & my family. This is just before I was diagnosed with Cancer.

April 2005. I have just had surgery to remove the cancer, and am about to start Chemotherapy. I just cut my hair short to prepare for it to fall out. It took exactly 2 weeks.

August 2005. Me, bearing my bald head to the world on Pensacola Beach & modeling my first official Ponytail Hat.

A Trip to Iowa October 2005. My Sister in Law, Laura and I reviewing some of our very first samples of “Inspired By You” TM Hats. We have designed many one of a kind hats to find the most comfortable and stylish.

October 2005. A visit to one of my Personal Inspirations! My Dad, Paul and his wife Linda. They gave me the encouragement to stay focused when I was so sick that I wanted to give up. A Heart-Felt Thank You & I love You!

Fall 2005 Two Survivors. I look at those that went before me and thank them for their courage and look to those behind me and say have hope. Hope Matters…Courage Counts! Me & my Aunt Anita.

November 2005. Me & my husband Joe. I am almost finished with my radiation treatment, my hair has started to grow in but I am more comfortable with my ponytail hat.

January 2006. I didn’t realize that my radiation treatment was killing my thyroid gland, and I ended up in the hospital near a coma at Christmas time. Smiling to be home from the hospital, and grateful for another chance to live. This picture is of me & my son Blaec and our dog Eddie, just after my hospital release.

February 2006. Me & My husband Joe. One year later from the date I discovered the lump in my breast. It has been a slow recovery process, but I am starting to feel better and stronger every day, and am grateful to God and my family for helping through this dark time of my life.
